C2C Day 6 – Boranup Forest to Cosy Corner

About 22 km. We started where we left off, amongst the tall karris of Boranup Forest.

Our guide was Sasha. Theme European / Western History. We had our morning tea at a very special spot in the forest.

Weather cloudy and a little cool at times. The sun did come out for part of the day.

Olena and Kerry did half day (picked up at Hamelin Bay).

7km of sandy beach walking on the way to Hamelin Bay, some of it on compacted sand.

The food truck In Hamelin Bay was closed but the general store was open. We got drinks and ice creams to enjoy, like little kids.

Some sting rays around, but not as many as last time I was here. David and Jessica nevertheless had close encounters with them! That’s what I heard, anyway.

After Hamelin Bay, we continue through some coastal heath and past Foul Bay lighthouse to arrive at Cosy Corner.

Tonight it was my group’s turn to eat at Miki’s Kitchen. Really nice. We had a 7 (or was it 8?) course dinner ‘master chef’ style. The dishes were really small but delicious.

Had my first mini blister or hot spot today too. Side of my right heel, despite having already covered it up with compeed the night before. Maybe my timing was a fraction off 😦

Time to go to sleep. Tomorrow will be our last day, and we were told it’ll be the hardest of all!
